Irving, Texas 03

The Texas State Championship was our final event of the season and was held in conjunction with the CYNOSPORT® WORLD GAMES in Irving , Texas.  Thanks to President Guy Mayberry of the Dallas Dog & Disc Club who arranged this event and worked very hard towards its success. The weekend was wet but full of moments to be remembered and lots of fantastic dogs. Congratulations to new Texas State Champions Zane Nail & Kaia who took the top dog honors with an overall solid performance on the different courses. Other notable performances came from Chuck Middleton & Donnie and Billy Hasty & Star. Our hats are off to all the competitors for braving the weather and completing the event despite the rain and wind during the final freestyle round. The Amateur Division was full with many new comers who came over from the other CynoSport events. I think we will see some new dogs on the scene caught by the disc dog bug. Special thanks to Lisa Middleton for working the registration and scoresheets. Also to the judging staff of Mark Wood, Mike Miller, Andy Busby and Brian Heuett. More thanks to Zain and Lindsay for their assistance on the weekend. Also thank you to all those who helped with the setup and tear down. The competitor party was soggy but fun thanks for all the tasty treats and homemade food.
